LIFE IS AMAZING! --YEAH THIS IS A LONG POST BUT IT IS GREAT NEWS!
Well I just had to add on here about how awesome my Sunday night was. It was absolutely the most amazing experience, maybe not the most exciting but it was the best time I have had in a while.
Well first if you don't know, I went to help a church in Lancaster, PA to help stamp hands. It didn't seem like something I thought I wanted to do, but it was a great thing even merely stamping hands. Well We stamped hands and then we went and they allowed us to watch the concert. Also a little side note, this church was amazing! It had a coffee shop in it and it had a huge auditorium (it seats about 2,500) and the seats were like movie theater seats. But the concert was great. It was the lifesong tour with Josh Bates, Nicole Nordeman, and Casting Crowns.
But anyways, obviously if you had a pass to take you anywhere you would have wandered around, just as I did. Well I went in the back to get a water and it was amazing to see Josh Bates sitting back there. It wasn't great because he is goregous or famous, it was because he was sitting there memorizing verses. He took time from when he was off stage to do this. I saw him later, because I didn't want to bother him then because he was really in the word. Well then we began talking and it was great just to hear personally how awesome his love for the Lord is. It seems like every chance he has, he is digging into the word. I then went back to bother him a third time. I said sorry for bothering him, but he was fine with it and I asked if I could get his autograph becuase I thought it would be cool to put in the Youth Room at my church if it is alright.
I didn't get to talk to the people from Casting Crowns for even more than like five minutes, but they are cool too. My Dad talked a little longer with them because he saw them when they were coming off stage. But I did get a chance to get there autograph also. I didn't get to meet Nicole Nordeman, but my Dad saw her up close and I sent my Step mother to try and get her autograph while I was talking to the Casting Crowns people and getting their autographs. So I have the three autographs and hopefully I can hang them up in the Youth Room becuase we don't have any of that type of stuff yet so that will be cool.
I still think it is so awesome about how down to earth Josh was. I would encourage talking to him one time if you ever get the opportunity.
The only bad part of the concert was getting to bed at 1:45 and waking up at 5:30. |
